Anderson Cooper: “I was WRONG…” to not challenge Shirley Sherrod for calling Andrew Breitbart a racist

In a pleasantly surprising admission, Anderson Cooper has stated he was wrong to not question Shirley Sherrod’s smearing of Big Government’s website founder, Andrew Breitbart.

Mea Culpa 360: CNN Anchor Says He Was Wrong to Let Shirley Sherrod Smear Andrew Breitbart Unchallenged

Big Government posted the edited video of Sherrod’s speech, which was sent to them already edited. They had no way to check the whole speech – though even the edited version included Sherrod’s revelation of her ‘lesson learned’ moment where she realized ‘it was not about black and white”. The full video was in the possession of the NAACP for months prior to it’s posting on Big Government, yet they never bothered to watch it to see the full context of Sherrod’s story. Even Chris Matthews (who was the first to defend Breitbart) admitted the Big Government post of Ms. Sherrod’s speech included her admitting her change of heart.

And what does Sherrod have to say while being interviewed by Anderson Cooper? (watch from about 2:00 on the video):

Shirley Sherrod Goes After Breitbart on AC360

“…I think he’d like to get us stuck back in the times of slavery, that’s where I think he’d like to see all black people end up again… I think he’s so vicious…”

Anderson asks her, “You think he’s racist?”

“Yes I DO, that’s why I think he’s so vicious against a black president, you know. He would go after me, I don’t think it was even the NAACP he was totally after, I think he was after a black president.”

(REALLY? How interesting that you would say that, Ms. Sherrod. Does that mean that everyone who is white and disagrees with a black person is racist?)

The fact is that Breitbart received the tape pre-edited. This tape had Sherrod making a speech to a group at an NAACP event, talking about how she held back the ‘full force” of what she could do for him – simply because he was white. Her reasons, as was later revealed in the subsequent full length video later posted by the NAACP, were that her father had been murdered by a white farmer, who was not convicted by an all white jury. I don’t know the circumstances of the man’s death, but I can understand why she might have ill feelings toward whites.

Sherrod did spell out the lesson she learned during her experience with the white farmer she had been assigned to help, but has she really gotten past ‘the black-white thing’? I don’t believe she has. Many, many both black and white people in this nation also have not gotten past it. Just listen to the laughter of the crowd Sherrod is speaking to when she admits she wasn’t giving a white farmer all the help she could have… they laugh. It was funny to them, I guess. Comeuppance. Sweet revenge. Turn about is fair play. Poetic justice.

Or reverse racial discrimination.

The reason there are still such tender sensibilities regarding race in this nation is that we still have not implemented in our own hearts and conversation the dream of Martin Luther King, Jr. who in his famous speech talked about how he dreamed one day his children would be judged on the content of their character instead of the color of their skin. This is a biblical and reasonable premise that has been left out of the public discourse almost altogether.

Another is the concept of forgiveness – not the kind where someone catches you in a faux pas or perhaps you even insult someone purposefully and you have to apologize publicly and they talk about whether you really meant it on the talk shows and cable news, who incidentally who once they start talking about go on and on and on and on… but the genuine kind of forgiveness. You know – where you ask for forgiveness and the person you’ve offended forgives you. Period.

And so on that note, Anderson, you’re forgiven, and your willingness to humble yourself to apologize is appreciated and refreshing. Now let’s move on.

Mexican prosecutors say prison guards lent killers guns, let them out to carry out massacre

leave a comment »

How can you effectively run a government and serve all the people if so many elements in the government are so absolutely corrupt? I think even at it’s most corrupt, the United States never had THESE kind of corrupt public ‘servants’:

“MEXICO CITY (AP) — Guards and officials at a prison in northern Mexico allegedly let inmates out, lent them guns and sent them off in official vehicles to carry out drug-related killings, including the massacre of 17 people last week, prosecutors said Sunday.

After carrying out the killings the inmates would return to their cells, the Attorney General’s Office said in a revelation that was shocking even for a country wearied by years of drug violence and corruption.

“According to witnesses, the inmates were allowed to leave with authorization of the prison director … to carry out instructions for revenge attacks using official vehicles and using guards’ weapons for executions,” office spokesman Ricardo Najera said at a news conference.

The director of the prison in Gomez Palacio in Durango state and three other officials were placed under a form of house arrest pending further investigation. No charges have yet been filed.

Prosecutors said the prison-based hit squad is suspected in three mass shootings, including the July 18 attack on a party in the city of Torreon, which is near Gomez Palacio. In that incident, gunmen fired indiscriminately into a crowd of mainly young people in a rented hall, killing 17 people, including women…”

Does Hamas have a cell in YOUR city?

Most people think Hamas is the group in charge of the of the Palestinian government, but did you know they’ve got sleeper cells in at least 40 states?

When the general public thinks of illegal immigration, they don’t realize that undocumented Mexican nationals are not the only ones sneaking across the border or coming for a visit.. and then never leaving. It gives the term “Melting Pot” new meaning these days.

Take a listen to Bridgette Gabriel as she names some American cities in which Hamas is known to operate:

In what could be deemed an act of war against the sovereign borders of the United States, Mexican drug cartels have seized control of at least two American ranches inside the U.S. territory near Laredo, Texas.

Two sources inside the Laredo Police Department confirmed the incident is unfolding and they would continue to coordinate with U.S. Border Patrol today. “We consider this an act of war,” said one police officer on the ground near the scene. There is a news blackout of this incident at this time and the sources inside Laredo PD spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Word broke late last night that Laredo police have requested help from the federal government regarding the incursion by the Los Zetas. It appears that the ranch owners have escaped without incident but…

Press Release: Black Leader Again Requests Obama Call for Black Panther Special Prosecutor

For release July 13, 2010

Washington, D.C. — After seven months of silence, and with controversy growing by the day, the chairman of the Project 21 black leadership network sent President Barack Obama a second certified letter asking for the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate the Justice Department’s questionable handling of its voter intimidation case against members of the New Black Panther Party.

Project 21 Chairman Mychal Massie wrote a letter to President Obama on December 4, 2009 asking for a special prosecutor that continues to remain unanswered. In his second certified letter to President Obama, dated July 8, 2010, Massie wrote: “During the time that I have not been dignified with a reply, the problem has festered to a point where perceptions of racial bias within your Justice Department cannot be ignored.”

“Seeing that President Obama has ignored reasonable requests by me and others for a thoughtful investigation of the alleged flagrant abuses at the Justice Department, one can only deduce that the actions there may have his silent support,” said Massie.

On Election Day 2008, three members of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense were alleged to have intimidated voters outside of a Philadelphia polling place. Career attorneys at the U.S. Department of Justice pursued a case against the men and were on the verge of a verdict against them when Obama Administration political appointees at the Department were said to have “ordered them to reverse course” on the case.

Charges against two of the men were the dropped completely, and the man wielded a nightstick at the polling place on Election Day 2008 was ordered to refrain from do so again until November 15, 2012.

In his original certified letter to President Obama, which was received by the White House on December 14, 2009, Project 21’s Massie pointed out the seriousness of the allegations and the concern Obama and his key allies — including Attorney General Eric Holder — expressed in the past for allegations of unethical behavior and avoidance of civil right prosecutions at the Justice Department.

In his request, which was repeated in the second letter, Massie wrote: “Because of your past concern about maintaining the Justice Department’s impartiality, actions taken in response to past allegations and new revelations of a separate but no less serious incident taking place under the Justice Department’s new leadership, I ask for your assistance in seeking the appointment of a special prosecutor.”

Since then, one of the career attorneys who prosecuted the case — J. Christian Adams — has resigned in protest about the handling of the case. Adams testified to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights that the Obama Justice Department “abetted wrongdoing and abandoned law-abiding citizens” with regard to the New Black Panther Party case.

Adams has further testified that “[t]here is an open hostility to race-neutral enforcement of voting rights laws” within the Obama Justice Department and that career staff are being ordered not to comply with Civil Rights Commission subpoenas for more information about the case.

“It’s very disconcerting that the Obama Justice Department seems to have a double-standard regarding racism,” noted Project 21 fellow Deneen Borelli. “While they are fighting the Arizona immigration law in part because it is claimed that it might erode civil rights, they are reportedly unwilling to do anything about voting rights complaints that don’t fit a politically-correct framework. Justice is supposed to be color-blind, but it sees to have become racially politicized under the first black president and first black attorney general. This erodes the Obama Administration’s credibility.”

Massie added: “The President’s inaction with regard to the New Black Panther Party case allows the perception of racial bias at the Justice Department to fester. It is yet another curious and questionable action regarding race by this White House that will likely impact how history perceives Obama. One thing he could do to help himself if answer Project 21’s certified letter.”

Massie has sent a copy of this second letter to Congressman Frank Wolf, ranking member of the House Commerce-Justice-Science Appropriations Subcommittee; Congressman Lamar Smith, ranking member of the House Committee on the Judiciary; Congressman Darrell Issa, ranking member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and Senator Jeff Sessions, ranking member of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary.

Jimmy Kimmel’s Crew Shows Contempt for Pro-lifers Civil Rights and Physical Safety

In a blatant attempt to stifle the First Amendment rights of a group of pro-life protesters who had been demonstrating across from their studios, crew members from the Jimmy Kimmell Show put the spotlight on a group leader, literally, melting his silicone bracelet and turning his skin red after about 10-15 minutes under the hot lights.

The crew was also heard shouting “F*ck you!” several times as the protesters voiced their objections to having their First Amendment and civil rights so blatantly violated.

One can only guess at why the liberal crew members would risk causing physical injury to another human being. Being professional lighting operators, they must have known the lights could cause injury if used in a manner that was inconsistent with the manufacturers instructions. Can this be counted as an assault? I say yes, it can.

One Kimmell staffer who was disturbed by the photos of dead, bloody fetal children, told the group, “I don’t want to see that…”

Oh, REALLY? Well, if it’s so offensive that you can’t stand to look at the tattered bodies of innocent fetal children, then perhaps you should not support the wholesale murder of 4,000+ babies aborted against their will every day in this nation solely based on their inconvenient location. (Duh.)

After “police” arrived, it was shown that they were simply hired rent-a-cops employed by the Jimmy Kimmel Show, but were acting as if they were on duty city police officers.

During the incident, someone tore the shirt of one of the protesters (another assault).

Jimmy Kimmell has so far refused to apologize to the group for the violent actions of his crew against innocent, non-violent citizens who were simply exercising their First Amendment right of Free Speech.
